Welfare Indicator of Fakfak Regency 2017 is an annual publication that presents an overview of the prosperity level from time to time. Data are presented in the form of tables and graphs. Some data is presented by gender to see the differences in certain aspects. In this publication, the welfare is observed by various specific aspects, like residents, health, education, labor force, consumption patterns and poverty, housing, and other social indicators.

Based on the projection results, the population of Fakfak Regency in 2017 reached 76.106 people consisting of 40.115 men and 35.987 women. In the health sector also shows an increase in Life Expectancy (UHH) from 67,84 years to 67,95 years in 2017. In the education sector, the Mean Years of Schooling (MYS/RLS) in 2017 was only 8,27 years but the Expected Years of Schooling (EYS/HLS) were 13,76 years. In the aspect of consumption pattern, the expenditure of Fakfak Residents in 2017 are still dominated by food expenditure (53,99 percent) and the rest for non-food expenditure (46,01 percent). The poverty rate of Fakfak in 2017 was 25,96 percent, which was lower than in 2016 (26,66 percent).

The condition and quality of the house occupied shows the socio-economic conditions of the household. The better the condition and quality of the house occupied, the better the socio-economic conditions of a household. In 2017 the percentage of households with ground floor only reached 1,56 percent, other than that using cement, ceramics, wood / boards, and tiles / tiles. The comprehension of Information and Communication Technology is still very low. The population aged 5 years and over who accesses the internet for the last 3 months in 2017 is only 19.24 percent.
